As a small business owner in a rural area, I’ve seen how limited access to healthcare education can be. IAM Research and Wellness Foundation helps people understand clinical research and its value to Sikeston, MO. It’s reassuring to see an organization supporting rural families with education and opportunity.

Last year I attended one of their workshops. It changed how I think about medical research. They made it easy to understand what trials are and why we should talk more about diversity. Now I encourage my patients to consider participating when it's right for them. IAM gave me the knowledge to have those conversations. They are doing very important work that benefits everyone.

They hosted a health fair at our community center last fall and over 60 people showed up. We got to learn more about what our blood pressure numbers mean and answered every question. People felt heard and respected that's why our community trusts IAM.
